Merric Elise Bartosch, R.M.T., S.N.R.
Massage Therapist, Sat Nam Rasayan
Healer, Kundalini Yoga Teacher
Merric Bartosch is a Houston-native skilled
at rejuvenating the body, mind, and spirit. She
established her unique practice in the Texas
Medical Center area nearly a decade ago and now
has a wide range of clientele who seek her soothing
massages and use of an ancient healing art that
frees the body's energy for health and well being.
She also teaches powerful meditative techniques
that can help you eliminate negative patterns,
quiet your mind, and lead a more peaceful life.
Merric became involved in her work through a
long path of self-discovery. She and her two
sisters and brother grew up in Houston, children
of a well-known coach and owner of several gymnastic
centers. In high school, Merric recognized she
had a gift of intuition-of looking deep within
people and seeing what could enhance their life.
She attended Blinn Jr. College in Brenham, the
Houston Community College, and the University
of Houston, studying business, psychology, and
dance. After college, she tried working in insurance
for a time, but found that unsatisfying. She
began looking in earnest for a field more in
tune with her talents. She worked with chiropractor
Jeff Brittain and traveled across the U.S. studying
Chinese medicine, massage, and healing arts of
all sorts, including those from India. The healing
arts allowed Merric to use her remarkable intuitive
skills to help people transform their health
and their lives. Today, her clients include people
in high stress jobs, especially doctors, businessmen,
and airline pilots; individuals undergoing chemotherapy
and other medical treatments; international visitors
to Houston; troubled teens; and even mother and
brides on the day of weddings.
Credentials
Merric is a registered massage therapist, and a certified Sat Nam Rasayan
healer and Kundalini yoga teacher. She studied traditional Swedish massage,
but found that clients experienced a greater sense of calm, wellness, and
love when she incorporated the techniques of Sat Nam Rasayan in her work.
Sat Nam Rasayan is a healing art developed more than 700 years ago in India.
Its techniques were revealed to the Western world by Guru Dev Singh, a
renowned healer and yogi. Merric has spent years under his tutelage, including
traveling to Italy and all over the U.S. for seminars.
Practitioners of Sat Nam Rasayan take their
consciousness to an elevated "sacred space" through
meditation and experience the flow of life in
the person they're working on. The conscious
of the practitioner is then fused for a brief
period with whatever is to be healed and transformed.
Sat Nam Rasayan can resolve pain in general,
and spiritual or mental disorders, such as fears,
depression, and fatigue. Acute or chronic diseases
can also be healed.
Merric has also studied Kundalini yoga extensively.
Kundalini is considered the "mother of all
yogas" and the most powerful yoga known.
The practice awakens untapped energy reserves
near the base of the spine. It elevates consciousness
and promotes physical well-being. Merric teaches
Kundalini exercises and meditations in personal
sessions and in classes across Houston.
She knows hundreds of meditations, many designed
to help people with the No. 1 problem she sees:
anxiety.
