About Our Group Running Programs
"Take your running to new heights" this year with In Flight Running. Our group running programs are based out of Houston Texas and offer an annual 8 month marathon and half marathon training season. The 2010-11 season will be held from Saturday May 29, 2010 through February 13, 2011 ending with the running of the 2011 Austin Marathon & Half Marathon. Due to the Houston Marathon Lottery system implemented this year we have expanded our season until mid February to accomodate runners who have decided to bypass Houston and train for another winter race (Austin, New Orleans Rock n Roll etc.)

The first 6 weeks of training through the first week of July help both beginners and more advanced runners create a solid running base. Hill training and speed work are also available for runners who need additional coaching. Sign ups are accepted until we reach our 350 member cap or as late as July 31st, whichever comes first. No additional late fees are charged for runners who sign up after our official May 29th start date. Those training for Fall Marathons like San Antonio start with higher mileage levels because their races are held much sooner than our featured winter races like the Houston & Austin Marathon & Half Marathons.

During our training season we train for our flagship Texas races, the Houston Marathon & San Antonio Rock n Roll Marathon and Half Marathons, and other fall and winter races. Even if you don't have a long-distance race goal in mind we can help you learn how to run, train you to fine-tune your running skills and experience the many benefits of running with a group with great coaching. Runners of all skill levels are welcome however we do recommend that you are physically able to jog/walk 3 miles before joining our program. We are strictly a run coaching/training program and do not currently offer marathon and half marathon training for walkers.

2010-11 Season Kicks Off On Saturday, May 29th @ Memorial Park
Our marathon/half marathon program will be capped at 350 runners for 2010-11 season so sign up soon. Once we hit our cap we will not accept any more members. All runners must be registered and fill out an on-line runner profile/waiver before joining the group for training.

Train for the Houston or San Antonio Marathon or Half Marathon or other major fall and winter races including Chicago, New York, DC Marine Corps, Dublin Ireland, Niagara Falls, San Francisco Nike Women's, San Antonio Rock n Roll, Memphis, Las Vegas Rock n Roll, Dallas White Rock, Honolulu, Orlando Disney, Phoenix Rock n Roll, Miami, Austin, New Orleans and more.     Designed for more experienced runners who need additional weekly track and hill workouts to accelerate running improvement, race more competitively or earn a Boston qualifying time

  • $240.00 - "Essentials Program" - Marathon/Half Marathon Training
    Saturday Long Runs + 10 Weeks Hills + 10 Weeks Track
    Great for both beginners and more experienced runners who want to add some hill & track work

  • $160.00 - "Weekend Program" - Marathon/Half Marathon Training
    Saturday Long Runs Only
    Great for beginners or runners who cannot commit to mid week track & hill training

If you register on-line for an In Flight Membership please fill out our runner profile/waiver at the link below. This is required before you begin physically training with us. The information on the profile gives us a good overview of your current running skill level, running goals and the info we need to build your training schedule. ONLY fill out our profile/waiver if you have already registered for any In Flight Running program.
